I really hope you will take a few minutes and check out this great website.
Winfluence – the WIN-Canada Blog
WiNfluence is about women and their power to influence – influence the public, influence policy, influence the development of Women in Nuclear, and influence their career. This blog will explore influences over how women are perceived as leaders and give you tips and expert advice on how to expand your circle of influence.
What do you think? Are women simply not as ambitious as their male counterparts? Are they sacrificing top level jobs to focus on family or are the stereotypical biases in the workplace just too numerous to overcome? Get involved in the discussion by leaving a comment. I’d love to hear your perspective on this topic.
In my opinion, the occupy movement has pointed out a big problem with leaders and corporatism – that networking and loose associations of people and ideas may in the end be more powerful (have more influence ) than positions related to global governance.
One thing that separates women from men is their ability to birth babies and that means that women are physically and innately connected/committed to a future on this planet.
I think this is a great discussion. I hope the women who are seen as leaders will nurture their female connections to the planet and let that part of themselves influence their decisions.
I hope the majority of women (who are not leaders) with no desire to keep the corporatist system going – understand that together we have more than enough power to block the road to human extinction.
We can recognize our potential to change the world through consensus – by nurturing our leaders. By making the choice to stand together when the opportunity arises. I am hoping this blog can unite to defend this planet – our planet.
So, nominate your leaders – identify what’s going on in your community – where we can together – support every effort to roll back the steady march toward the demise of our planet.
Thanks for your conversation.
